"Dr Jon" is an active adjunct professor and writer with experience in graduate and undergraduate courses for both classroom and online teaching using Blackboard, Moodle, Canvas, and Saylor Academy in the U.S., China, Morocco and South Africa. He has delivered professional lectures to U.S. industry as well as Japan and EU countries.
Today, Dr Cooley creates online classes for synchronous and asynchronous classes. He serves as an Adjunct Professor at several universities teaching International Business, Corporate & Marketing Strategy, Finance & Accounting, Game Theory, and Asian Business.
Jonathan was a senior team partner for four specialty acquisition and investment funds. As CEO and major shareholder of a technology company, his company became the lead B2B provider of hotel and reservation business applications for a worldwide Fortune 1000 hotel chain. He founded ZoomInn Entertainment, an Internet streaming video company for hotels which was later sold to an industry competitor.
As a professor, Jonathan brings practical business experience to his teaching with domestic and international experience as a high technology and corporate finance consultant with Ernst & Young and Deloitte. As a Partner, CEO, CFO, and Project Manager he is an entrepreneur with manufacturing, investment banking and operations/marketing management experience in the U.S., China, Japan, and Europe. His consulting clients included U.S. entities such as Orange and San Bernadino Counties in California and corporations such as MacDonald Douglas, Caterpillar, Medtronic, Herbalife, and Northrup Aerospace as well as Yasuda Trust & Bank (Japan) and Holiday Inn (Japan).
His current writing and research projects include international business and technology marketing, distance learning and a visiting scholar program. His teaching includes both graduate MBA and undergraduate courses.
